All vehicle rentals come with a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or when you collect your vehicle. This agreement outlines the terms, conditions, insurance information, fees, and your obligations related to that rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle through Car Hire in Cheadle Hulme, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ based on vehicle type, with possible extra fees for drivers under 25. A valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category is required, held for the minimum duration stated in the Rental Agreement. Booking and Payment Details
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Cheadle Hulme office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. Payments can be made using major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment systems.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

Any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance provisions.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For detailed information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Late cancellations or failure to show may incur charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Your Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or any other dangerous practices. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Ensure the vehicle is used within its intended purpose, adhering to passenger and weight limits. Driving outside the specified geographical boundaries without authorization is not permitted.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Cheadle Hulme is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraudulent actions.

These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
